Our Mission
Hello, my name is Ewelina. I am Polish, but my heart now beats in two places – in Poland, where my roots are, and in Chile. I split my life between these two extraordinary places in the world.
My journey to Chile began in 2023. I went there for love, but also for the adventure that life decided to give me. In Punta Arenas, at the end of the world, I met extraordinary women who created something that felt like a little miracle to me – ponchos. These ponchos were not just ordinary pieces of fabric. They were true masterpieces, handmade from wool that the women collected in a traditional way, without machines or chemicals.
Each of these ponchos carried the story of generations. Each artist learned this craft from her mother, grandmother, great-grandmother – from women who have nurtured this tradition for centuries. When I put on one of these ponchos, I felt as if a piece of history, love, and passion from the past met me here and now. It was the magic of a tradition that machines cannot touch. I felt I was wearing something unique, something that connected me to nature and history.
These ponchos are beautiful, elegant, stylish, and timeless. Thanks to the 100% natural, handcrafted process – from collecting the wool, through weaving, to the finished poncho – they are a part of the wardrobe that will last for generations. They are not just clothing – they are part of a tradition, passion, and respect for nature. These ponchos carry a story that you can wear.
Rise of Andes is not just a brand, it’s an idea supporting incredible women artists and a tradition that cannot be destroyed by mass production. I invite you to support this special purposeful project.
